Dear Mr Knechtl

I wanted to get in touch with you today to find out whether you know any
members of British Airways Athletic Club who are looking to secure a place
to run in the Virgin London Marathon 2012.

I am writing from a charity called The Redress Trust (REDRESS). We are a
human rights organisation that provides support and assistance to survivors
of torture in the UK and abroad to achieve justice for the harm they have
suffered. More information on our work is available at

We have five remaining places out of a guaranteed seven places available
for the 2012 Virgin London Marathon and we are now looking for dedicated
and enthusiastic people to fill these last spots and run for REDRESS,
raising much needed funding for the organisation in the process. If you
think that any members would like to compete in this event and raise some
money for the important work that we do, we would love to hear from them
and you!
