Marlow Half - 6th Nov 2011 - November ROM - Report
An excellent
effort this weekend in the "tough aint the word" Marlow Half Marathon. Sitting
here with thighs aching, its nice to be able to reflect on a fine, or at least
dry morning, which was an ideal, cool temperature for an archetypal autumnal run
up and over five of the cheekiest hills this side of High Wycombe.
A very
decent BA turn out, with Dave Dixon (15th) once again leading us (and the first
Lady) home , Steve Taylor knocking 2 mins off his predicted time, and nice to
see Jagjit, Jasvir and Clara at the start. I can see from the results that Liz
made it, and Steve tells me that Mel was out cheering on the course - sorry if
I was too busy grimacing and looking at my feet to realise.
In the
team event, the BA Men came in 14th (no prizes for that, or for tracking down
how many there were...)
BAAC Team Results
Other
BA/ex-BA names in the race, Harvey Tate (Radnage10K) ran a very decent 1:37 (we
must get him into the club..) and Andy Byerley (11th) knocked 8mins (!) off his
PB to win the V40s.
Nice, Full
