Rosenheim results for 20th June 2012

The results of the 4th Rosenheim league match of the season at St. Mary’s ,
Twickenham are in the
attachment.
5 BA athletes turned up to compete , managing 29 points for the evening and we
are in 4th place out of 6 in the league(well done all)
Top scoring was Gary Rushmer with a great 5 points in the 1500m ,& 3 points for
the 800m & Steve Hillier did great in the Shot & Long Jump with 6 points.
Chris Kelly supporting new track spikes, just missed going under 11 minutes by
0.4 of a second , a PB on the track I believe in the 3000m and gaining useful
points.
Steve Newell ,with so many Park Run PB this year , thought he would try the 400m
sprint. 5 stated the race and at 300m to go, 4 runners were out in front, all
together in a line, when 1 runner had enough and just stopped, to allow Steve to
pinch 4th place and 3 points gained.
Eddie gained a couple of points for the 200m (the wind is always against me in
the home straight this season!!) & Javelin, and to round a great evening off ,
BA managed a relay for the 1st time this year, and being very positive , we were
the 1st veterans team home!!
Our next Rosenheim match is at Eton on the 4th July hope we get a few more to
compete there and of course help is always required.
