One Don't Forget:

This Saturday's Club Featured Parkrun is at Bedfont Lakes.  The run starts at 09:00 but please get there early and park in the free car park off Bedfont Road allowing time to jog the 800 metres to the start and to have a team photo by 08:50.

Two Don't Forget:

This Sunday is our club Track&Field Championship and Family Fun Day at Thames Valley Athletics Track at Eton - postcode SL4 6HN - from 12:30.  It looks like being dry but cold so wrap up warm and join the fun.  We are considering adding another event, the 50 metres crawl, for all those of us who are doing 20 mile Marathon training runs in the morning.

Three Cheers:

To Katherine Stather (nee Henville) and also of course to John for the birth of their first daughter, Elise May, over last weekend.  Elise weighed in at 4lb 9oz.  All three are at home and reported to be doing well.

Four Thanks from (towards) the other end of the scale:

Tom Rowley (86) writes...

Please would you thank Brian and the committee for awarding me the Chairman's Shield.  I enjoy being involved at the club and wish I could still manage to train with you all.

Anytime I can help I will continue if needed.  I will be in touch for the Speedbirds 5k and also will help with the children's run at the Concorde 5Mile.

John Coffey presented the shield to me at our Wednesday morning RUN/WALK group of GOLDEN OLDIES.

The "bubbly" will be opened on my 63rd Anniversary on 1st April.

Thank you all.

P.S. I am thinking of packing it all in in another 14 years time. { 86 + 14 = 100 : Ed }

See you all soon,
